Since it’s Friday, I thought I would share with y’all one of my favorite things: books! In particular, Vinegar Girl by Anne Tyler. I’m half way through it right now and I can’t say enough good things. Anne Tyler is one of my favorite authors, mainly because she has a way of writing very real and relatable characters. And Kate, the main character in this novel, is no different.
If you start reading it and think to yourself, “Hmm, this story line sounds a bit familiar…” it’s because it is! Vinegar Girl is apart of the Hogarth Shakespeare project. This project will have several prominent authors to re-tell some of the Bard’s classics – this one being Tyler’s version of The Taming of the Shrew. So if you’re looking for something fun to read this weekend, grab this brand new spin on a classic and tell me what you think of it in the comments below!
